Textile yarns

SOLAMID® PA66 and copolyamide 66/6 is engineered for durability and comfort, making it well suited to a broad range of textile applications, including hosiery, seamless garments, circular and warp knitting, and weaving. The resin grades are formulated for excellent TiO2 particle dispersion, amine end groups, and viscosity, supporting smoother spinning performance and reduced sensitivity to thermal oxidation, ensuring deep colors stay rich and vibrant.

Industrial yarns

SOLAMID® heat stabilised PA66 resins are suited to a wide range of industrial yarn applications, including tire cords, airbag yarns, sewing threads and mechanical rubber goods. With low gel content to decrease spinning breaks, these grades benefit from a strong ability to be post-condensed, stability of additive concentrations, and good dispersion, helping extend the life of the spinning pack.

Engineering plastics

SOLAMID® PA66 and copolyamide 66/6 resins deliver excellent mechanical performance for engineering plastics applications in automotive, electrical and electronic components and consumer goods.

SOLAMID® grades support a wide range of compounds with outstanding properties, including thermal resistance (up to 150ºC), mechanical properties (tensile and flexural modulus), impact resistance, thermomechanical and electrical properties (good thermal aging) and improved resistance to solvent absorption (higher crystallinity). SOLAMID® grades also offer high resistance to lubricants, engine fuels, hydraulic fluids, coolants, cleaners, detergents, and solvents, even at elevated temperatures and in the presence of hot water and steam, making SOLAMID® ideal for automotive coolant system applications.
